Repeat Prescriptions

Drs. Ryan and O’Sullivan request that patients request their repeat prescription in writing only. This can be done my dropping a written note to the surgery or alternatively filling the repeat prescription request form below. 

To ensure accuracy and safety please note that repeat prescriptions cannot be ordered over the phone. Please allow 48 hours for your prescription request to be processed and it will be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy. If it has been more than 6 months since you have seen your doctor then a consultation may be required in order for your repeat prescription to be issued safely. 

If you do not have a medical card or doctor visit card then a repeat prescription charge of 20 euro will apply.

Old County Family Practice operates a policy of only accepting written prescription requests. This is to ensure maximum patient safety and to reduce the prescribing of unnecessary medications.

Hospital Prescriptions

Please allow two working days for new medications to be added to your prescription. An emergency supply can be obtained from your pharmacist in the meantime.
